Statement Regarding Criminal Complaint vs Michele Kang

(and retaliatory complaint of OL filed against Unnamed Former Management)

John Textor filed a confidential criminal complaint against Michele Kang, on April 17, 2026, for Private Corruption, Abuse of Corporate Power, Presentation of Inaccurate Accounts, and Dissemination of false or misleading information. Today Eagle Football Group has finally responded, by filing a new Criminal Complaint against persons unknown, then distributing such news to the press publicly in an apparent smear attempt. Textor’s Criminal Complaint came after he reported certain violations of law to AMF, the financial market regulator, which has started its own investigation. Textor provided formal notice of the criminal complaint to the board of EFG, on 22 April 2026, further demanding Ms. Kang’s termination in a letter to the board of EFG on 24 April 2026.

Textor said “It is clear that the criminal complaint just filed by EFG is an attempt to shift the focus, away from Ms. Kang, as the investigations concerning our April complaint will soon reach critical milestones. I have consistently and transparently challenged the accuracy of Olympique Lyonnais’ accounting on my public website, so I find great irony in EFG’s expressed concern about opaque financial transactions.”
